THE GET READY FOR PRE-K TOOL KIT is an 8 module course that is the blueprint of what you’ll need to set up your room and have a successful year in pre-k.
 
Module 1: Room Prep
In this module we will go over getting rid of anything you don’t need, take inventory of what you do have and how to place your furniture. 
 
Module 2: Centers
In Module 2 we discuss how many centers we should have, how to store them and how to introduce them.
 
Module 3: Teacher Areas
Making sure you have what you need when you are teaching is important. In this module we will discuss various items that are must haves for your whole group and small group instruction areas.
 
Module 4: Student Supplies & Belongings
Individual or community supplies? Here we discuss the pros and cons of each and ways to store their supplies once you have decided.
 
Module 5: Student Names
Students learn the alphabet by first recognizing the letters in their name. Their names play an important role which is why we label everything with their name and picture. In this module you will get a list of things to label and templates to use as well as centers to begin the year with. 
 
Module 6: The School Day
In this module, we will look at the entire school day from arrival to dismissal. Here you’ll find anchor chart headers for the mini-lessons you’ll want to teach to make sure your day runs smoothly.
 
Module 7: Parents
Keeping parents up to date is important in pre-k, especially if it’s the first year for both child and parent in your school community. In this module we’ll go over homework, parent communication and various ways to get them the information they need to feel part of the school community. 
 
Module 8: Student Independence            
Nobody wants to be opening up 20 plus milks in January. In this module we will discuss various mini-lessons to help students become independent as quickly as possible so you can focus on teaching.
